The active ingredient is synthetic deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, BELKYRA® destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected.

Only trained professionals who have attended a full training course are certified to perform this procedure. We believe that only medically and dentally trained clinicians should perform injectable treatments, the result of one’s treatment is only as good as the practitioner.

Since everyone’s chin profile is different, the number of treatments varies from patient to patient. Your clinician will thoroughly assess you to determine your tailored requirements. The number of sessions will range from 1-6 sessions, spaced 1 month apart.

The procedure takes around 45 minutes.   A topical anaesthesia cream is applied beforehand to keep any discomfort to a minimum. The injections can be given at different depths — from 1 to 4 millimeters into your skin — depending on what condition you’re having treated.  We recommend three sessions spaced one month apart and for maintenance three to four per year to get the desired effect.

Mesotherapy is noninvasive, so there usually isn’t any downtime. Patients can return to their normal activities immediately after treatment. Some swelling and bruising may occur at the injection site; these side effects tend to dissipate within the first week after treatment.

For Skinade to be effective, it needs to become part of your skincare regime. For best results, we recommend that you drink one bottle each morning with or after breakfast. We would advise avoiding caffeine 1hr each side of taking Skinade as caffeine can hinder the absorption of the essential micronutrients and collagen. The best candidates are men and women who are beginning to experience the appearance of wrinkles on the forehead, drooping of the brow, sagging of the mid and lower face, visible jowls and loose skin on the neck. PDO therapy is a tailor-made treatment which can be adjusted to your requirements at any time.

For the face, these would be lifting of the eyebrows, naso-labial folds, marionette lines, cheeks, jaw line and double chins. For the body, good results are achieved with tightening of loose skin on the arms, thighs and abdomen.

The treatment can last for up to 18 months but for best on-going results, Dr Etok recommends a maintenance appointment at 12 months.

The downtime is short. Swelling is visable for 24-72hrs and there may be some associated redness and tenderness, which lasts no longer than 24hrs.

Juvéderm® delivers long-lasting results, and in the right hands can last from 12-18 months.   After the initial treatment, follow-up sessions are normally recommended between 9-12 months.

Most people return to work straight away after treatment, normal activities can be usually be resumed immediately and discomfort is minimal.   With any injectable treatment, there can be some slight swelling, redness and occasionally light bruising.

Juvéderm® works fast. Within a few hours after injection, clients notice a smoother augmented result. This will improve over time and hit its peak after 4-6 weeks.

Dr Etok mainly focuses its use on the face to treat forehead lines, frown lines, crows-feet (around the eyes), the jawline, around the mouth and neck.  It can also be used for a subtle non-surgical brow lift.

You’ll start to notice the results after 3-5 days, by day 14 results are completely effective. These results will last around 3-4 months. You can maintain and improve the longevity of results with regular maintenance treatments.

Clients do not require any downtime and can resume their daily activities immediately after treatment. We always suggest refraining from physical exertions or exercise for a period of 24 hours.
