Chemical peels

Chemical Peels use non-toxic acids to break down the top layer, or layers, of skin to help diminish the look of fine lines, wrinkles and uneven skin tone.

We use Obagi medical grade products and often the process falls into two categories. The first is the Nu-Derm home-care preparation followed by the peel (gives better and even consistency) or the one off aggressive chemical peel.

Frequently asked Questions

There are three main types of chemical peel; light, medium-depth and deep-depth.  Dr Etok works with each client to agree on the right depth of peel for your skin.

  • Light peel: the mildest, these peels require very little downtime. Good for treating fine lines, large pores, dark spots and help tighten the skin

  • Medium peel: helps to treat skin that has a significant amount of photo-damage, sunspots, mild to moderate acne scars, thin/wrinkled skin around the eyes and dark circles

  • Deep peel: these peels target more serious skin issues such as severe acne scars, excessive sun damage or looseness of the skin

Recovery time ranges from 20 minutes to 7 days depending on the strength of the peel.

Skin appears tighter, smoother and refreshed. Dr Etok will prescribe an ongoing skincare regime to optimize your results.

Depending on the strength of the peel, the sensation can range from warm tingling to some slight discomfort.

Dr Etok undertakes comprehensive consultations at his London clinic, bespoke treatment plans start from £250.
